Care in Your Pregnancy

What Sets Your Bangalore Midwife Apart

Resources will be shared with you, tailored to your specific needs during each stage of your pregnancy — from birth videos to books, to information on posture, optimal fetal positioning, birth biomechanics (oh! Big words, yes!!).

We will have discussions on various birth complications and how your midwifery team will support you in case we come across any during your labor and birth. Birth is as safe as life itself, and as uncertain as life itself.

Preparing for Labor, Birth & Beyond

By the time your body is ready for labor and birth, you will feel safe and have all the information at your fingertips. That is because a significant part of pregnancy care is spent in preparation for labor, childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery. We will discuss labor pain and coping mechanisms, as that is usually the most thought-about question in every birthing person's mind! We will also talk through nutrition, exercise, emotional well-being, physical well-being, and so much more.

Community & Connection

You could decide to join a monthly prenatal group because it helps to know that you are not alone in this journey. There are many other families with whom you can foster connections and build a healthy community. Chetana's commitment is to keep your needs at the center of the care while honoring your wishes as well.

What Happens in Your Prenatal Visits

In addition to building a relationship of care, compassion, trust, and open communication, the prenatals involve discussing lab reports, ultrasound scans, and vital parameters of the mother and baby. The main difference, of course, is that in midwifery care, reliance on medical technology and tools is on a need basis only — and even then, only after a detailed discussion on the need for the test, the information we gather from it, the pros and cons, and any alternatives, if applicable.

Your Commitment, Your Midwife's Commitment

Your commitment to this model of care is as important as your midwife's commitment to caring for your baby, and you. To provide this kind of care and attention to detail, the number of clients in care every month is limited to 4–6. So do sign up as soon as you are pregnant, to avail the best possible, committed care!
